Made famous by Endless Summer II, Witch's Rock is one of Central America's most iconic waves. Tucked inside Santa Rosa National Park, it's only accessible by boat from Playas del Coco or Tamarindo — and that remoteness is part of the magic.
What to Expect
- Long, hollow right-hand point break that can hold serious size
- Offshore winds almost every morning during the rainy season
- No crowds — on a good day you might share the lineup with five people
- Howler monkeys in the trees behind the beach
Tips
Book a boat charter the evening before and depart at dawn. Bring plenty of water, reef-safe sunscreen, and a backup leash. There is no civilization here — just you and the wave.
